Containing
organic matter rich in
nutrients and trace minerals, Colorado Natural Compost increases soil
moisture retention, drainage, and adds soil microorganisms beneficial to
plant growth. It turns poor, tight soil into soil that is light and fluffy
and reduces soil erosion.
A smooth blend that is screened for
consistency. Its nitrogen is slowly released versus chemical fertilizer's
quick release of nitrogen. Colorado Natural Compost binds the needed
nutrients in the soil for accumulated fertility.
Reducing greenhouse gas emissions by
increasing carbon storage in the soil our compost reduces nitrogen losses
in the soil by 50%. Colorado Natural Compost is also an economical and
ecological replacement for wetlands peat in ornamental planting beds.
The wide range of use includes the
establishment of turfs, sod or soil renovation, top dressing (turf
maintenance,) flower and vegetable gardens, nursery crops and ornamentals, shrub and tree
planting, shrub maintenance, and potting mixes.
